The Story of the Royal Oak Public Library Mural.
The idea of adventure as a child has always been close to my heart.
As an overgrown child myself, I've always thought of life as an exploration of experiences and learning, always learning!
This mural is about the adventure that is in books!
Happily out of all the contestants that entered to be juried for the library mural, I was selected.
The slide show below shows the work in progress.

“Painted Seat Cushions”

The turret project
required 25’ of scaffolding and a safety
platform,
(built with the help of my “fix-it”
husband).
The painting was rendered with invaluable help from
Rebecca Grubba, angel painter.
We both wore climbing harnesses while painting inside the
turret.
It was as if we were in a small room in the sky,
or in actuality a small room in the 20’ ceiling of
the home.
The project took three weeks to render.
The views of the turret are shown without the
chandelier.
